Chelsea are reportedly in talks over a £17.8m deal to sell Juan Cuadrado to Atletico Madrid this summer, in a move that could inadvertently help Manchester United sign top target Arda Turan.

The Blues have not managed to find a place for the Colombian winger in their starting lineup since he joined from Fiorentina in January, and will now offload him to make room for some potential new buys.

However, Cuadrado’s arrival at the Vicente Calderon would likely allow Turkish winger Turan to complete a move to United, who seem to be leading the chase for his signature, according to recent reports.

Cuadrado has also been linked with Inter Milan, but the Metro claim his agent has already flown to Spain to try and conclude the deal.

Barcelona have also been strongly linked with a move for Turan, but Chelsea certainly run the risk of helping their rivals by selling Atletico a like-for-like replacement in the attacking midfield department.
