Manchester United: LVG with GRUMPY comments on star’s Old Trafford future

Manchester United’s Angel Di Maria is rumoured to be closing in on a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, and Louis van Gaal has frustratingly addressed the speculation.

The former Netherlands manager has refused to rule out an exit for the Argentina international this summer, but in typical fashion, wasn’t drawn into providing any specific answers on the rumours:

“I cannot answer that. You can ask every time but it’s a process, what I always say, and when we think we shall have to say something I shall say it,” as quoted by the Express.

Reports have been suggesting that the former Real Madrid star has been unsettled in Manchester ever since his family suffered a burglary on their Cheshire home.

This, combined with his limited playing time in his debut campaign at Old Trafford, could have left the winger feeling prepared to walk away from the Premier League after just one season.

PSG attempted to sign Di Maria last summer, but United won the race for his signature largely due to the Ligue 1 champions’ concerns with Financial Fair Play regulations – though they appear to have not given up hope on the 27-year-old making a move to the Parc des Princes.
