Man Utd transfer news: Javier Hernandez’s East London move OFF after striker demands LUDICROUS £90,000 goal bonus

West Ham United have been chasing Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez all summer, but have now pulled out of the deal following his ludicrous financial demands.

According to the Daily Mirror, the Mexico international was demanding that the Hammers agreed to £100,000 per-week wages and – wait for it – a £90,000 bonus for every goal scored.

A club source said, “To say that it was unrealistic is an understatement. It was just a deal that could not be done.”

Unsurprisingly, West Ham are not willing to meet his request, and are likely to therefore turned their transfer focus to securing the signatures of Hull City’s Nikica Jelavic, Chelsea’s Victor Moses, Barcelona’s Alex Song and Tottenham Hotspur’s Aaron Lennon, as reported by the Telegraph.

Hernandez was allegedly informed by the Red Devils at the weekend that he could leave before the close of the summer window, and with West Ham having now backed out of the race, he is rumoured to be closing in on a £9m move to Bayer Leverkusen.

With Hernandez set for an Old Trafford exit, Wayne Rooney will remain the club’s solitary senior centre-forward, which could be worrying news for supporters as his failure to hit the back of the net in the defeat to Swansea City on Sunday now makes it 10 Premier League games without a goal for the England international.

Reports are suggesting that United are targeting Queens Park Rangers forward Charlie Austin.
