Liverpool legend criticises Manchester United for David De Gea situation

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has criticised Manchester United for their handling of David De Gea‘s transfer saga.

As a fan of the Reds, the Sky Sports pundit is happy that their fierce rivals have failed to sell the 24-year-old to Los Merengues. He believes that the Spain international won’t be in the right frame of mind to perform as he has done over the past two seasons for the club.

When mentioning the Red Devils’ panic buying, he might have been former defender may have been referring to their £36 million signing of Anthony Martial from AS Monaco. That fee could rise to £58 million [Daily Express], which is a huge price to pay for a player who has made just 52 senior league appearances in his career.
