Liverpool star gives Brendan Rodgers a HUGE injury boost

Liverpool star Adam Lallana has declared that he is fully fit ahead of their match with Bordeaux, reports the Daily Express.

The Reds are facing the Ligue 1 side in the Europa League on Thursday. The 25-year-old had been on the sidelines with a leg muscle injury, but is now available. The England international hasn’t played since their match against Bournemouth last month.

“I am fully fit now,” said Lallana, “I was back in training on Friday and I am ready for tomorrow night.

“It was disappointing to have another setback but you have to deal with these things as a player. The Europa League is a huge competition for us. I have never played in it before. It’s a great chance to get back in the Champions League.”

Brendan Rodgers are likely to take the game seriously as the winners of the competition qualify for next season’s Champions League. With the Merseyside club up against some tough opposition to qualify through the Champions League, Europe may be their best chance to get in.

Liverpool have made a shaky start to the season, losing to West Ham and Manchester United in recent weeks. This has left them with only seven points from their first five games of the season, and on the back foot in the race for the top four. As such, Thursday’s match carries even more importance than it already did.
