Friday’s biggest Arsenal news and transfer rumour roundup.

Arsenal striker Joel Campbell’s agent says the 23-year-old Costa Rica international, who was linked with a move away during the summer, wants to stay at Arsenal, the Metro reports.

Campbell, who signed for Arsenal nearly five years ago, has spent significant time on-loan at clubs such as Lorient, Real Betis, Olympiacos and Villarreal.

Italy Under-21 centre-half Daniele Rugani could leave Juventus on loan in January and has been linked with Arsenal, according to talkSPORT.

The Italian centre-back has been an unused sub in 11 of his side’s Serie A matches this season and his progress is clearly being hampered by a lack of action.

Arsenal keeper Petr Cech, 33, says the Gunners need to toughen up following their 5-1 thrashing by Bayern Munich in the Champions League, the Daily Star reports.

Cech, who won the Champions League in 2012 when Chelsea defeated Bayern in Munich, was unimpressed with the way his new team folded.

Benfica’s 18-year-old prospect Goncalo Guedes is a target of Arsenal, according to the Daily Mirror.

Guedes, a winger, has been likened to Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo and is also a target of Manchester United, Manchester City and Barcelona.

Arsenal are set to be boosted by the return of Laurent Koscielny for Sunday’s north London derby with bitter rivals Tottenham, the Daily Express reports.

The France central defender was sorely missed, replaced by Gabriel on Wednesday as Arsenal were battered 5-1 by Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
