Zidane makes WEIRD pick for world’s third-best player, chooses Chelsea man over Suarez, Bale, Neymar!

Zinedine Zidane has revealed who he believes is the third-best player in the world after Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, and his pick may surprise some!

The French legend has plumped for Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard as the third-best player in the world, despite the Belgian’s indifferent season in the Premier League.

“I have no doubts he’ll be back,” the Real Madrid coach began, discussing the former LOSC Lille man. “After Messi and Ronaldo, Hazard is my favourite player. It is spectacular to see him play.”

We’re not ones to argue with a legendary figure like Zizou, but we have to question his pick, particularly following Hazard’s role in Chelsea’s miserable Premier League season.

To date, the Belgian is yet to find the net in the league this season, and has contributed only two assists in 12 EPL showings to date.

His decline—he managed 14 goals and nine assists last term—is marked, and has been one of the Pensioners’ most disappointing performers so far this season.

However, there is an added twist to this tale.

Perhaps Zidane’s comments aren’t merely a complimentary gesture to an admired player, but rather a veiled attempt to tempt Hazard to end his Chelsea troubles with a move to Real Madrid.

Could the French legend’s flattery ultimately coax the 24-year-old to the Spanish capital?
