Former Manchester United legend Roy Keane has hit out at striker Wayne Rooney by labelling him ‘awful’ and ‘out of shape’, according to the Metro.

The England international was ineffectual during United’s 0-0 draw with PSV this week, and Keane believes Rooney should have been more influential as well as questioning why he’s getting involved in Wrestling.

“You look at Wayne’s legacy at Old Trafford, it’s absolutely fantastic, his goals record is brilliant. But now he’s the captain there’s more responsibility and I think he’s got to do a lot more,” he said.

Mats Hummels Borussia Dortmund

Man United target Mats Hummels is believed to be preparing to hand in a transfer request at German giants Borussia Dortmund, according to the Daily Mirror.

United were keen on signing the World Cup winner over the summer, but he resolved to stay with the Bundesliga side for another year at least.

However, reports in Germany state that he has fallen out with manager Thomas Tuchel and will look to move on at the earliest opportunity.

Harry Kane

Manchester United are said to be heading for a full scale conflict with Chelsea over the signature of Tottenham striker Harry Kane at the end of the season, according to the Daily Star.

United targeted the England international over the summer, but their advances were rebuffed by Spurs.

However, both heavyweights are now keen on pushing through an even bigger deal for the 21-year-old at the end of the season and will compete with each other for his signature.

Racist chanting from PSV Eindhoven fans has been caught on camera during the Champions League clash with United at Old Trafford, The Sun reports.

A large group of supporters were caught singing: “If you don’t jump, you’re a Jew,” in reference to their rivals Ajax, who have a big Jewish fan base.

The incident took place utside the Crown & Anchor pub in Exchange Square, hundreds of fans joined in with the chant, which is often sung during derbies against Ajax.

Rico Henry

Man United are on a collision course with Liverpool over the signature of young Walsall full-back Rico Henry, according to the Daily Express.

The 18-year-old has been dubbed as the ‘new Ashley Cole’ and has a host of Premier League clubs monitoring his progress in the West Midlands.

Both sent scouts to watch Henry in action as Walsall lost 2-1 to Swindon on Tuesday night, but the Saddlers have confirmed that it will take a hefty sum of money to prize him away from the Bescot.
