Harry Kane didn’t score in his any of his first eight games in all competitions for Tottenham Hotspur this season, but a first-half brace against Norwich City means that the 22-year-old now has 13 for the campaign – 12 in his last 11 appearances.
Kane broke the deadlock from the penalty spot on 26 minutes, after being fouled by Norwich goalkeeper Declan Rudd, who was shown a yellow card after plenty of thought from referee Mike Jones.
Spurs had been second best prior to Kane’s opener, but they took control of the game from that point on.
Kane doubled his tally just before half time, drilling a low shot into Rudd’s far post, after being set up by 19-year-ol Dele Alli, who has now been directed involved in five goals in as many matches – as the stat below illustrates.
