Liverpool, Tottenham transfer target & Nigerian hotshot wanted by Italian giants in ambitious double transfer swoop

AS Roma are plotting an ambitious double January swoop for Watford striker Odion Ighalo and Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie.

The Giallorossi are enjoying an iffy season and are in desperate need of January reinforcements.

They scraped through their Champions League group, but were devastated 6-1 by Barcelona and only managed a 0-0 draw with BATE Borisov at home, while their domestic form has also been hit and miss, with Rudi Garcia overseeing a considerable winless run.

Indeed, the French manager only arguably saved his job with a 1-0 win over Genoa ahead of the winter break.

When Mohamed Salah and/or Gervinho have been absent, the capital club have struggled for attacking fluency and goals, and Garcia looks set to dip into the market in order to resolve his side’s deficiencies.

The Mirror report that he’s eyeing both Ighalo and Bolasie, two of the early stars of the EPL season.

The latter was a mooted transfer target for both Liverpool and Tottenham during the summer transfer window, and it remains to be seen whether either side will look to compete for the forward should Roma move in in January.
