Liverpool ready to raid Premier League rivals for exciting young full-back

Liverpool are believed to be weighing up a £4million move for talented Leicester City youngster Ben Chilwell in the new year, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The England under-20 international is currently on loan with Championship side Huddersfield Town, but is highly-rated in the East Midlands, and was even tracked by Arsenal during the summer transfer window.

But after some extensive scouting from the Reds, Liverpool are reportedly ready to make their own move to steal his signature in January.

Klopp’s former colleague at Borussia Dortmund, David Wagner, is now in charge of Huddersfield, and he has sent a series of glowing reports back to Anfield about the youngster’s progress.

Klopp is believed to be on the lookout for more options at left-back having lost Joe Gomez for the remainder of the season through injury, and Chilwell looks to be a viable option for both now and the future.

Chilwell has made just a single appearance for Leicester, but has featured seven times for the Terriers since joining on loan.
