Arsenal injury news: Le Coq set for early return to action and named in squad to face Burnley this weekend

Arsenal could be in line for a major injury boost after the Daily Telegraph reported that midfielder Francis Coquelin could be set to be included in this weekend’s FA Cup squad to take on Burnley.

The 24-year-old suffered knee ligament damage earlier in the season and hasn’t featured for the Gunners since November.

He wasn’t expected to return to action so quickly, but the Telegraph report states that he could be fit enough to be included in this weekend’s FA Cup tie with Burnley.

However, it is unknown as to whether he will be fit enough to play from the start or resume his first team duties from the bench.

But either way, his return, whether he makes a comeback this weekend or not, will be welcome news for the Gunners as the Premier League title race hots up.
