Juventus triumphed in their Coppa Italia semi-final against Inter after defeating their rivals 5-3 on penalties.

The Nerazzurri had produced a sensational turnaround after ending normal time with a 3-0 win, cancelling out their three-goal deficit from the first leg in Turin.

With the Bianconeri missing two big chances in extra time to end the tie, they were forced to go to a penalty shootout.

The villain on the night was Rodrigo Palacio, who missed his spot-kick to give the Turin giants the initiative. Having converted all of their penalties, with Leonardo Bonucci sealing it with the fifth, Massimiliano Allegri’s side will now advance to the final on May 21 where they will face his former club AC Milan.

The Rossoneri secured a 6-0 aggregate win over Alessandria to reach the final, and so it sets up a mouth-watering finale to the tournament with the defending Serie A champions undoubtedly set to be installed as the heavy favourites to prevail.
