Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson will reportedly be the subject of a £25m offer from Tottenham this summer.
The Premier League title contenders are understood to want to back coach Mauricio Pochettino after such an impressive campaign to date.
Whether or not they end the season as champions remains to be seen, but according to The Sun, they are already plotting a sensational raid on their league rivals.
With Champions League football next season looking likely, Tottenham chiefs are looking at bolstering the squad in order to build on their success this season and to continue to work towards a brighter future as they believe now is the time to strike and take advantage.
However, there is also speculation of Pochettino attracting interest from some of the top European clubs, and so chairman Daniel Levy will be keen to back the Argentine coach in order to ensure that his long-term future sees him stay in north London.
Although Henderson seems settled at Anfield and has become a leading figure for the club both on and off the pitch, his style of play would seemingly suit what Pochettino has instilled at White Hart Lane.
Nevertheless, it still seems a difficult move to make given that Jurgen Klopp is highly unlikely to want to lose his midfielder, which in turn suggests that Henderson would have to force the move in order for it to happen.
As a result, he will have to weigh up joining a side playing in the Champions League next season and potentially defending their Premier League crown, or stick with Klopp and Liverpool and continue to build something special on Merseyside.
