Manchester United wonderkid admits he’d love to play alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Speaking to Telefoot, Anthony Martial has admitted that he’d love to play alongside Paris Saint-Germain frontman Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Earlier in the month, L’Equipe reported that Manchester United were considering a move for the Swedish superstar, whose contract at PSG comes to an end this summer.

Despite being 34, the experienced hitman is enjoying a remarkable campaign in Ligue 1, hitting 30 goals and contributing 11 assists in 26 league outings for the French giants.

It’s been a remarkable campaign for the capital club, who haven’t only reached the Champions League quarter-finals, but who have also won the domestic title in record quick time.

Despite this, Zlatan is yet to be offered a new contract, and United youngster Martial has hinted to Telefoot that he’d love to play alongside the hitman.

“It would be great to play with Ibrahimovic,” the forward began, as reported by the programme’s official Twitter handle. “He has almost won everything and is an extraordinary player.”

Martial has had a mixed campaign at Old Trafford since leaving Ligue 1 for the Premier League last summer.

It’s been a tricky campaign for the Red Devils, but it remains to be seen whether Martial—who has scored eight goals and contributed three assists in 25 showings—will consider his maiden season in England to have been a success.
