Italy prop Martin Castrogiovanni has been suspended by his club after being pictured partying in Las Vegas with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the Paris Saint-Germain squad last weekend.
The 34-year-old had informed Racing 92 that he couldn’t play in their Champions Cup semi-final against Leicester on Sunday as he had to attend a family matter in Argentina.
However, it wasn’t long before he was rumbled as he was pictured in Vegas socialising with members of the Paris Saint-Germain squad, including Ibrahimovic.
Racing have since released a statement on the matter, revealing that they have suspended him as a precautionary measure with a view of launching legal proceedings.
Despite Castrogiovanni’s absence, Racing were able to secure a 19-16 win over Leicester, but it remains to be seen what his indiscretion results in for him as he would evidently have left his club bitterly disappointed with his actions.
