Gary Lineker’s brother Wayne has understandably been pretty critical of English tabloid The Sun, with the paper reporting that Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez is currently dating his girlfriend.
The article has since been edited and Mahrez removed, but not before Wayne took a snap and took to Twitter to share the story.
First I know of it @Mahrez22 you might be in my good books mate but can’t be nicking my girl @DanielleSandhu lol pic.twitter.com/nDYcj2Qme3

The Sun’s article showed a number of Leicester City stars and their respective WAGs, with Jamie Vardy, Mark Albrighton, and Danny Simpson all included. They claimed that Mahrez was dating Danielle Sandhu, which Lineker naturally took exception to. In his tweet he joked: “You might be in my good books mate but you can’t be nicking my girl”.
This isn’t the first time Lineker has been in the news recently, with the entrepreneur and international playboy reported to have been found dead in his villa earlier this month. He was naturally quick to dispute these claims though, insisting that he was in fact very much alive.
Been a strange day today, not very often you read that you’ve been found dead ???? #getmetoibiza pic.twitter.com/h3yUXCHSVN

It’s unclear where The Sun originally got their information, but perhaps they were putting two and two together to get three. Maybe they thought the greatly exaggerated reports of Wayne’s death had seen Sandhu move on, straight into the arms of Riyad Mahrez. If that was the case then she certainly could have done worse than a newly crowned and Premier League winning Player of the Year.
