Relegated EPL club could lose outstanding wideman for just £8m; sale would be a steal

Norwich City risk losing wideman Nathan Redmond for just over half of the player’s valuation, according to The Sun.

The tabloid report that the Canaries have previously valued the winger at £15 million, however, the club’s relegation means they are unlikely to recoup anything close to that fee for the 22-year-old.

Instead, The Sun report that while the wideman will definitely leave the club this summer, Norwich should prepare themselves to receive a fee of just £8 million for his services.

The England U-21 international—who has been named in the Three Lions squad for the upcoming Toulon Tournoi this summer—is set to have no shortage of admirers, with the likes of West Ham United, Stoke City, Southampton and Watford all understood to be keen on the forward’s services.

Redmond, who moved to Norwich from Birmingham City in 2013, has scored six goals and contributed three assists in 34 outings for Alex Neil’s side this season.

Norwich beat Watford 4-2 in midweek, but it was not enough to avoid the drop, as they head into Sunday’s final-day fixture knowing they cannot catch 17th-placed Sunderland.
