Liverpool linked with making double swoop for Croatia pair

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is far from done with his work in the summer transfer market, as he reportedly eyes two Croatian starlets.

The German tactician has already signed three new players this summer, but he’ll be looking to add more in the coming months ahead of his first full season in charge at Anfield.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Marko Pjaca is on the shortlist, and despite the fact that AC Milan are understood to be leading the race to sign him, Liverpool remain in the running.

The 21-year-old has already seen Dinamo Zagreb reject a Liverpool bid, and it is claimed that he’s worth around £12m.

While it remains to be seen whether or not Klopp is successful with that particular bit of business, he is also continuing to be linked with Pjaca’s compatriot, Ante Coric.

Again, Liverpool face stiff competition, this time closer to home in the form of Manchester City, while Chelsea and Tottenham are said to have expressed an interest too, according to The Daily Mail.

Coric is expected to be available for around £6m, but it’s unclear at this stage as to who will win the race to sign him.

What is clear though is that Klopp is looking at a certain type of player to add to his squad, as he continues to focus on younger players with a high talent ceiling in order to help develop their talent moving forward.
