Arsenal contract rebel open to Real Madrid move

Mesut Ozil is open to a return to Real Madrid according to a report in the German tabloid paper Bild.

Per the Source, Ozil would return to Real Madrid ‘immediately’ if given the chance despite leaving the La Liga giants for the Gunners just seasons years ago.

Meanwhile, The Times states that Ozil has two years remaining on his contract with Arsenal and seems reluctant to hold talks over an extension. The report goes onto state that Ozil is concerned with Arsenal’s inability to compete for major titles and the lack of ambition they shown ambition in the transfer market this summer.

The Gunners have won just two FA Cups in the last three years, and finished second in the Premier League last season.

Ozil has been ruled out of the North London based outfits first Premier League game of the season against Liverpool this weekend. Arsenal will also be without Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny according to head coach Arsene Wenger.
