Paul Pogba’s Man United debut delayed due to FA ban, 3 other players suspended this weekend, including Tottenham star

Fans hoping to see Paul Pogba’s full Man United debut this weekend will be disappointed because the most expensive player in the world is banned.

Pogba, who made seven sub appearances during his first spell at Old Trafford, completed his record-breaking move from Juventus to United earlier this week for a transfer fee of £89m, according to BBC Sport.

United begin the 2016-17 Premier League season on Sunday afternoon with a trip to Bournemouth, but Pogba is not available.

The FA sent out a tweet on Friday afternoon showing a list of four Prem players who are currently suspended.

Pogba is ruled out for one game after picking up too many yellow cards for Juve.

Former United man Chris Smalling is also banned for the opener, while Leicester City defender Robert Huth and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele are serving longer suspensions.

Huth will this weekend complete his three-game ban for clashing with Marouane Fellaini back in May, while Dembele has another four matches to serve of his six-game punishment for gouging the eye of Diego Costa during Tottenham’s ugly 2-2 draw at Chelsea late last season.

As well as missing his side’s season-opener against Everton, Demebele must sit out Tottenham’s matches with Crystal Palace, Liverpool and Stoke City.
