Chelsea midfielder Jon Obi Mikel will potentially be squaring off against Manchester United’s Paul Pogba this season, and it appears as though he’s looking forward to it.
The pair have previously crossed paths and engaged in midfield battles, but there was one moment in particular that the Nigerian international isn’t in a rush to forget.
In an international game between the pair, Mikel pulls off a lovely bit of skill and leaves Pogba a little embarrassed after nutmegging him.
While it’s all a little bit of fun between the pair ahead of big seasons for their respective clubs, certain supporters naturally turned into something a little more serious as the debate raged on who had more trophies out of the pair and who was better.
Nevertheless, it remains to be seen who has the last laugh at the end of the season, with Pogba returning to United with the sole purpose of leading them back to the top of the Premier League, an ambition that will be shared by Mikel and his Chelsea teammates too.
