Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has hit back at his ex Samantha Helena after she took part in a tell-all interview with The Sun.
The pair split after life in Manchester put strain on their relationship, with allegations that Martial cheated on his ex-partner, with whom he has a child.
As countless reports have surfaced since, tension rose to a new level over the weekend after Helena took part in an interview, as seen below, where she discussed the change in Martial after his move to England and also blamed United for their part in not providing them with enough support.

Despite being busy preparing for, and playing in, United’s opening game of the new Premier League season at the weekend which ended in a 3-1 win over Bournemouth, Martial had time to take to Twitter on Sunday to hit back at his former partner.

Given the history, prestige and reputation of a club like United, it’s highly unlikely that they will tolerate further public swipes moving forward.
While Martial has obviously stopped short of naming names, it’s clear who it’s aimed at and ultimately it’s not a good reflection on him and therefore indirectly on the club either.
Whether or not a conversation is held between the two parties remains to be seen, but ultimately, Martial will be well advised to avoid bringing the situation into the public eye further, or least told to do so in a more constructive manner, and resolving his problems behind closed doors, regardless of what his former partner decides to do.
