The French national team that started against Belarus included seven Premier League players. Manchester United and Arsenal both have two representatives in Paul Pogba, Martial and Giroud, Koscielny, respectively.

Giroud was giving a place in the starting line-up against Belarus but has yet to feature for Arsenal this season. Koscielny meanwhile featured in the Gunners 3-1 win over Watford before the international break.

Crystal Palace goalkeeper Mandanda, Tottenham midfielder Sissoko and Chelsea star Kante were also all given the nod.
