Ander Herrera urges Man United teammates not to lose focus

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has urged his teammates not to lose focus when they return from international duty, according to the Mirror.

The Red Devils’ suffered three defeats in a row after last month’s international break, including a loss to rivals Manchester City.

Jose Mourinho faces a tough run of games agaisnt Liverpool, Fenerbahce and Chelsea in two weeks time.

Ander told the Mirror that United have to avoid dropping more points after the international break.

“After the last international break we lost three games in a row so we have to avoid that,” Ander was quoted as saying by the Mirror.

“We have to come back very strong. We have to play two very tough Premier League games away – Liverpool and Chelsea – and between them, Fenerbahce in the Europa League.

“That is a very important game as well. We want to win to be able to face the rest of the group in a calm way.”

Man United find themselves in sixth place in the Premier League after seven games with 13 points. Mourinho’s side are five points behind leaders Manchester City, after being held by Stoke at Old Trafford.

Ander has provided one assist and scored one goal in eight appearances for united this season. United host their bitter rivals Liverpool in their next Premier League fixture.
