Kevin De Bruyne has given Manchester City the lead against Barcelona in their Champions League group stage clash this evening.
It was Barcelona who took the lead early on through Lionel Messi, but Ilkay Gundogan levelled the scores mid-way through the first-half.
De Bruyne has now put the home side ahead with a thunderous free-kick that flew past Barca keeper Ter Stegen. It could prove to be a crucial goal in City’s bid to progress in the competition.
This is the sort of quality that we have come accustomed to from De Bruyne since he moved to the Etihad. Pep Guardiola appears to have elevated him to a whole new level.
Here it is in all it’s glory. Chelsea fans, look away now.
