Ex-Arsenal man winds up Tottenham fans by insisting Harry Kane would make switch

Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour has refused to rule out the possibility of Harry Kane swapping Tottenham Hotspur for the Gunners.

The Sun reported on Monday that the England international had seen contract talks with Spurs stall, with the club unwilling to make him one of the biggest earners at the club.

With no date set for talks to resume, it’s unclear what that means for Kane, although the expectation is that they’ll get together at some point and try to reach a compromise of sort.

However, for now it’s enough to send the rumour mill spinning and Parlour has looked back at Kane’s allegiance as a youngster and believes he could make the move across north London.

“He does support Arsenal so…,” Parlour stated while on talkSPORT, as noted by the Metro.

“Have you ever seen that picture when we went unbeaten? We went on a bus tour in Islington and he had red and white hair. So who knows?”

The chances of Kane moving to Arsenal are very slim, as Spurs will undoubtedly firstly be keen to reach an agreement on an extension and will also not want to lose him to a direct rival.

In turn, Parlour’s suggestion is probably meant in jest and is a sure-fire way to wind up Spurs fans who were already left furious over the report.

Kane won the Premier League Golden Boot last season and was a major miss during his injury absence recently, and so Spurs should be doing whatever they can to make a deal happen for one of their most important players.

If not, then perhaps the joke might turn into something a little more serious with several clubs around Europe likely to be monitoring his situation now.
