Reborn Liverpool star hoping to carry form over to England duty

Adam Lallana has been one of the players who has benefited most from Jurgen Klopp’s arrival at Liverpool, and the former Southampton man will be hoping that he can carry that form over to England duty for tonight’s friendly against Spain.

Lallana has actually always played well for England, even when his club form was suffering. But now he’s in top form for the Reds, he will want to take his game for his country to the next level.

Jurgen Klopp has Lallana playing in the middle band of a 433. This is an interesting innovation, as the Englishman would always have been considered one of the front three in the past.

This formation shift may well be mirrored by Gareth Southgate tonight against Spain, with some speculating that Rashford, Vardy and Lingard will play as a front three with Henderson, Wilshere and Lallana behind.

Of course this can easily be tweaked to a 4231 with the 28 year old in the 3.

However the Three Lions line up, all eyes will be on the reborn Liverpool man to see how he does against some of the world’s best.
