Poor Carl Jenkinson has not had an easy ride of late. The right back, seen as such a bright English prospect when he signed for Arsenal from Charlton, has had a tough ride since. After showing himself to be a little raw in the first season he was sent on loan to West Ham. Since then he has fallen off the radar almost entirely – until now. With both Hector Bellerin and Mathieu Debuchy out injured, Jenkinson played last night in the 2-0 loss against Southampton.
We could tell you how it went, but it’s probably better to let Arsenal fans do the talking:
Would be quite surprised if Carl Jenkinson makes another Arsenal appearance after tonight tbh.

If you rate Jenkinson because he is an Arsenal fan I guess we should've played Osama Bin Laden. He was an Arsenal fan too.

Carl Jenkinson is awful, it's like he won a competition on a cereal box to play.
