(Video) Everton 1-1 Manchester United: Furious fans slam Mourinho and Fellaini after dramatic late penalty

Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw by Everton on Sunday with Leighton Baines scoring late on from the penalty spot to secure a point for his side.

United had taken the lead in the first half through a magical Zlatan Ibrahimovic goal, and seemed on course to secure all three points.

However, with minutes to go, Jose Mourinho opted to bring on Marouane Fellaini who conceded the penalty shortly after and was booked for his protests in a miserable cameo appearance against his former club.

With Manchester City and Liverpool both slipping to defeat this weekend, it gave United the perfect opportunity to close the gap on the top four, but they failed to take full advantage and now sit nine points adrift.

However, that wasn’t the first thing on many of the minds of supporters after the full-time whistle, as they slammed Mourinho for his decision to bring on Fellaini, while the Belgian was also in the firing line for costing his side two points.

It’s fair to say that neither the United boss or his substitute came across well after Sunday, and it will only ask further questions of the Red Devils and their ability to qualify for the Champions League.
