Eden Hazard’s injury that is keeping him out of Chelsea’s clash with Sunderland is not thought to be serious, according to The Sun.
The Sun report that Hazard sustained damage to his knee during his side’s 1-0 victory over West Brom at the weekend, but the damage is not severe and he will be available for selection as the Blues visit Crystal Palace at the weekend.
It appears as though tonight’s game came around too quickly for Hazard, with the Chelsea medical staff keen for him to rest opposed to risking further damage.
The Belgian will undoubtedly be a huge loss for Chelsea tonight as they take on Sunderland. His form has been an essential part of Antonio Conte’s side’s recent form. Chelsea have won nine Premier League games in a row, scoring 23 and conceding just twice. Hazard himself has already found the back of the net eight times so far this campaign and is well on his way to bettering his best ever goal-tally.
