Man United vs Wigan Athletic starting lineups: Bastian Schweinsteiger and Anthony Martial escape from exile to start

Manchester United host Wigan Athletic this afternoon as they look to retain the FA Cup.

Jose Mourinho has a fully fit squad at his disposal for today’s game, and he has fielded a very strong starting side.

Sergio Romero starts in goal ahead of David de Gea as Jose Mourinho hands him an opportunity to get some minutes under his belt. Luke Shaw and Timothy Fosu-Mensah have been given a chance to impress, as they flank Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo in defence.

There’s a surprise in midfield, with Bastian Schweinsteiger partnering Marouane Fellaini in the double-pivot. The illustrious German has struggled for game-time under Mourinho’s stewardship, but could force his way back into The Special One’s thinking with a good performance today.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Juan Mata and Anthony Martial make up the attacking trio behind Man United’s all-time record goalscorer Wayne Rooney.

Here are how both side’s line up for today’s game in full:
