Manchester United snubbed: Cristiano Ronaldo orders agent Jorge Mendes to get him shock Premier League transfer

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo could deliver a controversial snub to his old club Manchester United by reportedly requesting a shock transfer to Chelsea.

The Portugal international is looking for a way out of the Bernabeu, with AS claiming this week that he’s unhappy and wants out by next summer.

Don Balon have now followed this up with the sensational claim that Ronaldo wants a return to the Premier League with Chelsea, as he does not believe his former side United can afford him.

Ronaldo remains a fan favourite at Old Trafford after starring for United earlier in his career, though he could sour his reputation if he ends up making the switch to the Blues.

Antonio Conte could do with more firepower up front after losing Diego Costa in the summer, with Alvaro Morata not always looking entirely convincing so far since he too joined from Real Madrid this season.

Ronaldo has been consistently one of the finest goalscorers in the world throughout his career, and neutrals would undoubtedly love to see him back in England before the end of his career.

The 32-year-old may no longer be at his peak, but still scored 42 goals last season to fire Real to glory in both La Liga and the Champions League.

Don Balon claim he wants to keep on playing at the highest level, and a move to London where he can represent a club challenging for major honours matches his ambitions.
