Barcelona are reportedly prepared to look at four strikers as they weigh up replacing the out-of-form Luis Suarez in the near future.
The Uruguay international is perhaps starting to show signs of age, with just five goals in 17 games this season as he prepares to turn 31 in January.
Barca could be wise to start planning for the future, and Ernesto Valverde has identified four players who could take his place up front in the coming months.
According to Don Balon, the players Valverde is keen on are Antoine Griezmann, Harry Kane, Mauro Icardi and Gabriel Jesus.
It remains to be seen who is the priority at the moment, but Don Balon suggest Barcelona could sign Griezmann as well as one of the other three, and use the Frenchman in more of a supporting role in attack.
This would be bad news for Manchester United, with Don Balon also recently claiming that the Atletico Madrid star had a pre-contract agreement to make the move to Old Trafford next summer.
Chelsea, meanwhile, will also be on alert as it could mean missing out on Inter Milan hit-man Icardi, who was recently linked as a target of Antonio Conte’s by Gol Digital.
It would certainly take a world class goalscorer to replace the talent of Suarez, with the former Liverpool man proving a big hit since he moved to the Nou Camp in 2014, scoring 126 times for the Catalans and helping them to a host of major honours.
