Chelsea’s first piece of January transfer window business looks to be complete with reports that Kenedy has agreed on a loan move to Newcastle as soon as the window opens.

The Brazilian has not been a regular for the Blues and is now set to link up with former Chelsea boss Rafael Benitez at St James’ Park, according to the Daily Mail.

Elsewhere, the London Evening Standard claim it could be a busy winter for Antonio Conte, who is also keen to bring players in to bolster his attack.

They link the likes of Thomas Lemar and Ross Barkley with the Premier League champions, though a move for Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey looks unlikely.

Chelsea fans will hope Kenedy’s loan can see him gain some valuable experience and see him return to the club a better player.

The 21-year-old arrived at Stamford Bridge as an exciting young prospect back in 2015, but hasn’t lived up to expectations so far.

Kenedy has played just 25 times for Chelsea and also had an uneventful loan at Watford, for whom he played just one game in 2016/17.
