Liverpool star pens worrying Instagram post in response to Philippe Coutinho’s Barcelona transfer

Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has posted on Instagram to address his Brazilian international team-mate Philippe Coutinho’s transfer to Barcelona this January.

The 26-year-old has been a key performer for the Reds this season, and it is the improvement of players such as himself that will fill fans with some confidence of coping without Coutinho.

Still, Firmino may not share that optimism himself, with some interesting language used in his tribute message to Barcelona’s new signing after his move away from Anfield.

Clearly disappointed to see Coutinho go, Firmino sounds as though he’s either saying Liverpool are now a significantly weaker side without him, or that he doesn’t feel the same way at the club following his exit.

His Instagram post read: ‘Speak my fiance, Poxa Liverpool is no longer the same without the magical Mano.

‘I wish the infinite of Success for you, that you enjoy Life. and fulfil all your brother dreams !! God is always protecting YOU and the whole FAMILY !! It was an honor El Mago to play this time together with you.’

However this message is interpreted, it sends a somewhat worrying message to fans of the Merseyside giants when they’ll want the rest of their squad to be fully focused and committed to the cause.
