Liverpool are reportedly in talks over sealing the transfer of Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos after deciding he could be a fine replacement for Philippe Coutinho.
The Reds just lost their star playmaker to Barcelona this month and there’s been plenty of speculation surrounding who they could bring in to fill that attacking midfield void left in their squad.
The Metro have linked Monaco winger Thomas Lemar as one option, while the Liverpool Echo have reported on interest in getting the Naby Keita deal done early instead of in the summer.
The latest target comes from Diario Gol, however, who say Liverpool have responded to Ceballos’ agent looking to find the youngster a new club after a tough start to life in Madrid.

The 21-year-old only joined Real last summer after catching the eye as a promising talent at Real Betis, but has struggled to get the playing time he wants at the Bernabeu.
Liverpool could then be a tempting option for him, but Diario Gol claim the Spanish giants aren’t keen on letting him go this January.
Diario Gol previously also linked Ceballos with Arsenal in a report suggesting Madrid could let the young Spaniard leave, but it seems their stance has since changed.
