Neymar has requested that PSG make a move to sign Netherlands and Ajax youngster Frenkie De Jong, a player who is also being looked by his former side Barcelona.
This is as per Don Balon, who are stating that the Brazilian superstar is desperate to see the Dutch midfielder play alongside him in the French capital next season.
The same report also states that Lionel Messi is also keen for De Jong to move this summer, however he wants the Dutchman to move to Barcelona instead of PSG.
Don Balon have stated in the past that the midfielder has a €50M price tag on his head, a fee that would be a risky one for either PSG or Barca to pay to say the least.
PSG would surely be disappointed with their performances last season, as despite the club managing to win all the domestic trophies available to them, they failed miserably in the Champions League.
The French giants ended up going out in the round of 16, with Neymar and co losing 5-2 on aggregate to Real Madrid.
We’re sure the club will have been expecting to go further than they did in the competition seeing as they have stars such as Neymar himself, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani in their side.
Signing De Jong would be a great move for PSG despite the price, and would be one that would deal a killer blow to Barcelona’s hopes of bolstering their midfield this summer.
