Bayern Munch willing to make €70M offer to seal transfer of Barcelona superstar

Having impressed at the World Cup with his national side Croatia this summer, it seems as if Ivan Rakitic is a wanted man. 

The Barcelona star played a huge part in helping his team reach the World Cup final, where they ended up losing to France 4-2.

Now, it seems like the former Sevilla star has caught the eye of German giants Bayern Munich, who are looking to make a move for the player this summer.

Don Balon are reporting that the Bundesliga outfit have been asked by manager Niko Kovac to sign the midfielder this summer, and that they are willing to part with €70M in order to do so.

For Barcelona, Rakitic has been amazing these past few seasons, with the Croat managing to firmly cement a place in Ernesto Valverde’s side’s starting line-up.

The 30-year-old has also proven himself to be somewhat of a big game player in recent years, as he’s bagged a goal in the 2015 Champions League final, as well as coming up with some big strikes in key league matches for the Blaugrana in recent seasons.

Barcelona losing Rakitic would be a huge loss for the club, however if Bayern to do offer €70M for the star, it may be worth accepting considering the player is heading towards the twilight years of his career.
