Having finished 19 points adrift of rivals Manchester City in the Premier League title race last season, coupled with falling short in the FA Cup final, League Cup and Champions League, the Red Devils are arguably in need of key additions this summer to ensure that they’re in a better position to compete.

However, according to Marca, they could have a potential problem as it’s claimed that Paul Pogba is keen on a return to Juventus which could take away a pivotal part of the Man Utd squad given his importance and presence in the heart of the side.

Whether a deal can be agreed or if United are even willing to entertain the idea of a sale is questioned in the report itself, but ultimately it is suggested that Pogba would like a second stint in Turin having enjoyed a successful spell there previously both in terms of his trophy haul and on an individual level.

Particularly given the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, it’s no surprise if he would be seeking a return as the Bianconeri seemed primed to launch a genuine assault both at home and abroad next season for major honours.

Meanwhile, Sport claim that Gareth Bale is a central figure in Julen Lopetegui’s plans for Real Madrid next season with Los Blancos looking to cope with the loss of Ronaldo while having yet to sign a replacement for the Portuguese superstar.

As per The Express, Man Utd are still being linked with a move for the Welshman, but if given a more prominent role at the Bernabeu and with their recent success in mind, it could be enough to convince Bale to stay in Spain rather than consider a switch to Old Trafford.

If that’s the case, Mourinho may well have to start considering alternative targets to bolster his attacking options ahead of next season.
