Real Madrid looking to seal transfer of €80M talisman that Lionel Messi wants to see join him at Barcelona

Real Madrid are said to be looking at making a move for Juventus and Bosnia maestro Miralem Pjanic this summer, a player who Lionel Messi wants to see seal a move to Barcelona.

This is as per Don Balon, who are noting that Los Blancos chief Florentino Perez has tabled an offer for Pjanic in order to try and snatch him from under the noses of the Blaugrana.

The report also notes that the Old Lady are demanding €80M from any club if they are to sell Pjanic this summer, a price that just might be too good to turn down for Julen Lopetegui’s side.

Real are looking to steal a deal for Pjanic to avoid him joining Barcelona this summer

Don Balon reported less than a month ago that Lionel Messi is keen for Barca to sign the Bosnian this window, so it looks like Real could be dealing both the club and Messi a blow if they sign the midfielder.

With Madrid not having many spare central midfielders at the club who are capable of adequately replacing either Toni Kroos or Luka Modric, signing Pjanic should be an absolute no-brainer.

The former Roma star has been a key part of Juve’s side these past few years, with his displays in the centre of the park going a fairly long way to helping the club achieve back-to-back league and cup doubles these past two seasons.

Not only would signing the player seriously improve the quality of Real’s central midfield options, it would also allow them to get one over on their rivals Barcelona.

What’s that saying again? Killing two birds with one stone?
