Manchester United could move for Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele if the struggling Anthony Martial ends up leaving Old Trafford tomorrow.
Martial moved to Old Trafford from AS Monaco back in 2015 and made a fantastic start to life in Manchester under Louis Van Gaal, scoring plenty of goals and impressing supporters with his electrifying pace and composure in front of goal.
Life under Jose Mourinho has been far more difficult for the Frenchman however, as he has failed to hold down a regular place in the Portuguese bosses starting XI since he replaced the Dutchman in 2016.

According to The Daily Express, the 22-year-old star has been seeking a move away from Manchester this summer, after missing out on France’s World Cup squad and thusly losing out on the chance to become a World Cup winner. He made just 18 starts for United last season and his lack of game time combined with a fractious relationship with Mourinho have caused the striker to become frustrated, which could see him leave before the transfer window closes.
Ousmane Dembele has endured a similarly difficult spell with Barcelona since his move to Spain last summer and despite still being featured in Didier Deschamps World Cup squad and picking up a winners medal in Russia, it appears he is unlikely to improve on his 17 appearances for the club last season, following the arrivals of Arthur and Malcolm at the Camp Nou.
According to Mundo Deportivo, if Mourinho ends up letting Martial leave he could move to sign Dembele as an immediate replacement, which would ease the blow of losing a young player United initially invested £36 million in, as per BBC Sport.
Dembele is 1 year younger than his French counterpart and could replace him as the clubs most promising attacking talent, but supporters would surely be sad to lose a man who despite his problems recently, still managed to score 24 times in 86 appearances featuring mostly from the bench.
