AC Milan, Juventus and Real Madrid in transfer scrap for €130m-rated ace

With the transfer window still open for most of Europe, AC Milan, Juventus and Real Madrid are said to be the three clubs still keen on signing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer.

The 23-year-old has emerged as one of the biggest talents in Europe, as he continued to impress for Lazio last season while featuring for Serbia at the World Cup earlier this summer.

Aside from the stats which show he scored 14 goals and provided nine assists in 48 games last season, Milinkovic-Savic boasts physicality, agility, technical quality and an eye for goal which could potentially make him a dominant midfield figure as he continues to develop.

In turn, it’s no surprise that it’s suggested he is attracting interest from around Italy and Europe, with Calciomercato reporting that Milan, Juventus and Real Madrid are still keen to secure a deal to sign the €130m-rated ace.

Further, it’s suggested that Lazio are keen for an interested party to make their move sooner rather than later if they are to satisfy their demands, as naturally with just a week remaining before the window closes in Italy, they’ll want to ensure that they aren’t left short for the season ahead if they lose their biggest talent.

Time will tell if Milinkovic-Savic gets a move elsewhere this summer, but as he continues to improve and have more of an influence, it remains to be seen as to whether or not his value continues to increase.

Having added Cristiano Ronaldo and Leonardo Bonucci to their squad this summer, signing the Serbian star could move Juventus even closer to domestic and European glory.

As for Milan, they lack quality and depth in midfield in their pursuit of a top-four finish in Serie A, while after losing Ronaldo, Madrid have yet to make a marquee signing aside from the acquisition of Thibaut Courtois earlier this week.

As noted by Marca, with doubts over Luka Modric’s future, perhaps the Spanish giants will need to add a midfielder to fill the void.
