Some fans have called for Arsenal to sell Granit Xhaka after the Swiss midfielder had a first half to forget against Manchester City.
Raheem Sterling fired Manchester City into the lead with a thunderous solo strike 14 minutes in, with the England international being chosen to start ahead of winger Leroy Sane as the champions begin the defence of their Premier League title.

Xhaka joined Arsenal ahead of Euro 2016, for a fee reported to be in the region of £30m by Sky Sports , and has gone on to make 71 league appearances for the Gunners.
Xhaka has found life in the Premier League hard to adapt to, with his poor disciplinary record and temperament not helping the Gunners in a period where they have needed someone to steady the ship and not ignite the fire.
Check out some scathing tweets towards Xhaka following his 1st half horror show:
Xhaka is such a horrible player. Sell

I’m fed up of Xhaka sell him immediately, I’ve stuck up for him too long.

Torreira, Arsenal's only good signing over the summer (Guendouzi not ready yet), is on the bench whilst Xhaka, one of the worst players in the Premier League, is getting minutes.

Xhaka looks like the inexperienced youngster and Guendouzi is carrying his dumbass through this game.
Unbelievable.

Me, after the first half against The Centurions: I am intrigued by the possibility of Guendozi and Torreira in midfield.
Or either of them and Elneny.
Or people who can run and not Xhaka….

Yellow card for Granit Xhaka.
In other news, water is wet.

Take a look at what former Manchester United full-back Gary Neville had to say on Xhaka:
Gary Neville: “Every time I watch Xhaka play he looks like he’s going to get booked or sent off. He’s not even that good on the ball.” #afc

With the new season starting off on a bad note for Xhaka, his time in the Gunners starting lineup looks set to come to an end once new signing Lucas Torreira is brought into the fold by new manager Unai Emery.
