8) Miralem Pjanic (Juventus)
Yet another option for Madrid in midfield could be Juventus’ Miralem Pjanic, linked with an offer from the club by Calciomercato.
Given Juve’s previously noted links with Milinkovic-Savic, it could prove useful for them to cash in on interest in the Bosnian to fund a bigger deal coming in.
Pjanic is one of the finest in Europe in his position, but it seems his future in Turin is far from certain this month.
9) Luka Modric (Real Madrid)
One of the players at the centre of it all as Real look for midfielders, the Sun are among the sources linking Luka Modric with Inter Milan.
The Croatian was in superb form for his country at this summer’s World Cup, and it could make sense that he’s after a new challenge after so much success in his time at the Bernabeu.
Moving to the slower pace of the game in Serie A could be ideal for him in the final few years of his career.
10) Ivan Rakitic (Barcelona)
And finally, another Croatian could be on the move as there’s talk of Ivan Rakitic considering leaving Barcelona.
Don Balon links him with the likes of PSG, Bayern and Juventus, though it may only be likely that he leaves if his club are successful in their ambitious pursuit of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
As this seems unlikely to happen this summer due to United being unable to sign a replacement, that could therefore mean Rakitic sticks around at the Nou Camp for a bit longer, but there is some doubt as we head towards the end of August.
