Key Barcelona superstar could decide to leave club should Blaugrana seal transfer of €50M ace

Ivan Rakitic could very well decide to leave Barcelona this summer should the club manage to bring in Adrien Rabiot from PSG.

This is according to Don Balon, who note that the Croatian international does not feel as important to the club in comparison to some of his Blaugrana teammates.

The report also notes that if the club do manage to bring in Rabiot, or Man United’s Paul Pogba, then Rakitic could end up departing the Camp Nou, something we’re sure all Barcelona don’t want to see happen.

Losing Rakitic would be a big blow for Barca even if they manage to bring in Rabiot or Pogba.

The Croat has been superb for the club since his move from Sevilla in 2014, with the midfielder often putting in stellar performances in big matches for Ernesto Valverde’s side.

Although Rakitic leaving would be a devastating thing for Barcelona, getting Rabiot to replace him wouldn’t be a bad move at all.

Rabiot, who PSG are reportedly willing to let go for €50M as per Don Balon, has shown during his time in the French capital that he is definitely capable of cutting it for one of the world’s best sides.

The 23-year-old has been somewhat of a mainstay in a PSG side that has largely dominated French football for the past few years, a reign that doesn’t look like ending anytime soon.

If Rakitic does end up leaving, it could end up doing more harm than good for Barca, even if they manage to bring in Rabiot.
