Real Madrid star Keylor Navas will seek a move away from the club in the January transfer window should he fail to secure a first team place for Los Blancos.

This is according to Don Balon, who note that the former Levante shot-stopper thinks that, eventually, new signing Thibaut Courtois will replace him as Real’s first choice ‘keeper.

The report also states that if does not get game time and loses his starting role in Madrid’s side, which looks like it could be to Courtois, he will seek a move away from the Spanish capital.

Navas will look to leave Real should he lose his first team spot, something Courtois looks likely to take

Given the fact that Courtois looks likely to take over from Navas as Real’s first choice ‘keeper, it looks like this may very well spell the end for the Costa Rican’s and his time with the Spanish giants.

Real fans probably won’t be too sad to see Courtois claim a first team place at the Santiago Bernabeu given the fact that he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

However, something that may be sad for Madrid supporters is seeing Navas leave, as the player has been a key part of the club’s recent Champions League title and La Liga wins.

The 31-year-old’s consistent performances for the club both competitions has played a fairly significant role in Los Blancos winning three consecutive Champions League titles and one La Liga title in the past three seasons.

Despite this, it looks like his time with Real may be running out, especially if former Chelsea man Courtois lands a starting spot under boss Julen Lopetegui this season.
