Marcos Alonso played a big part in helping Chelsea bag a very late goal this afternoon, as his effort was turned into the Magpies’ goal by defender DeAndre Yedlin.
The Spaniard, who won the penalty that Eden Hazard scored to give himself the lead, saw his effort stabbed home by the American in the 87th minute to give Maurizio Sarri’s side a 2-1 lead right at the death.

Chelsea fans will obviously be over the moon with this, as it looks as if their side will be continuing their 100% start to their Premier League campaign.
Here’s a clip of Chelsea’s goal. So unfortunate from Yedlin.
