Manchester United CLEARED to steal £54million star from Arsenal after shock development

Manchester United can reportedly seal the transfer of Real Madrid star and Arsenal target Casemiro for just £54million.

The Brazil international has surprisingly been made available for a bargain price by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez after a recent dip in form.

Don Balon list Arsenal as being among Casemiro’s main admirers despite his struggles this term, with the 26-year-old long looking one of the finest defensive midfield players in Europe.

Casemiro could certainly be an upgrade on struggling performers like Nemanja Matic and Fred in the middle of the park for United, who were first linked with the player a few months ago.

It remains to be seen if MUFC still view Casemiro as a priority, but one imagines they’ll be on alert if he’s now available on the cheap.

United’s form may have improved under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but the performances of summer signing Fred will be one big concern.

The former Shakhtar Donetsk man has made no impact at Old Trafford despite costing around £50m last summer – at just £4m more, Casemiro looks a far more reliable, experienced option.

Arsenal will be furious if United can get ahead of them in this transfer battle, however, with the Gunners also in dire need of improving on players like Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny, while Aaron Ramsey nears a move away from the Emirates Stadium.
