Hammers fans will be steaming with anger after announcement ahead of Forest clash

David Moyes’ West Ham are preparing for a huge bottom-half-of-the-table Premier League clash against Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest.

The match, which is set to be played at the London Stadium on the weekend, will see the Hammers try and climb out of the relegation zone for the first time in weeks.

News before the game has not been ideal for fans though.

It was recently announced that Jarred Gillett will be the game’s referee on Saturday and following his performance in the reverse fixture back in August, fans will be hoping for a better display.

The Australian sparked outrage after wrongly disallowing Said Benrahma’s goal that would have put the Hammers one-nil up.

Not only that but after opting against awarding West Ham a clear penalty later on in the game, even though VAR overruled Gillett’s decision, the delay in play meant Declan Rice was forced to wait a while before eventually missing his spot kick. Forest then went on to win 1-0.
